Well I bought the truck, 96 4wd ext cab 318 and found I also bought a can of worms. I am getting 13.5+ miles to the gallon. I can live with that and am satisfied with it. It had a lot of small things wrong, no dome lite no buzzer, radio not working, passenger seat not moving forward, spare tire stuck and flat, doors wouldn't lock with key, elect switch or by the button, oil lite would come on and oil guage would drop to 0 after 15 miles of driving, emergency brake cable and hardware went flying about the 6th time I used it, all of which I have fixed. Now I need a little help. The gas guage goes goofy when I fill the tank. It jumps all over the place till it gets to 1/2 tank and then works fine. I am guessing this problem is in the sending unit and I can live with it as long as it continues to work from 1/2 tank down. Now the BIG one. I am getting a vibration when I am on the gas and hear a chink chink chink sound. The vibration is less when I let off the gas. Universal joints? should I change front and rear drive shaft universal joints as in all 4. How hard is it to do? Also I could use a little storage space for all my junk in the cab like maps small tools pens paper maps ect. Any ideas on that? The grand kids ride in the back every day. Thanks Mark

318 V8, 4X4. With a K&N I get 17-18 highway and 14-16 in town if i take it easy. I just put a catback exhaust for it but havent got any numbers yet.
