Lol, actually it was the water pump and clutch that came off the 360 in my garage, and it is dry as a bone. But that aside, yes, my laptop is filthy from me using it with greasy hands.

The fan nut is a 36MM. NAPA, or any auto parts store, has a kit for fan removal. When I did mine, I actually bought this one-time-use tool. I think it was like $60. (Call me dumb, I don't care. I love having tools, even if I might never use them again. You never know!) There just wasn't enough space to get a regular wrench in there. (for me at least)
You might be able to loan it from AutoZone or the others that loan out tools.

I tried to get one from autozone and the fan clutch tool they had was no where near big enough for our trucks. Any chance you have a photo of the NAPA tool you have?
Someone else told me it was reverse thread too. I just wanted to make sure. the ol' chiltons did not say anything of course. Everything else I have is 81 and under and they all come off in 5 minutes or less!
I see this has been beaten to death, but I'll add to it. I just did mine a week or so ago when I did my motor swap.
The nut IS NOT REVERSE threaded. I wedged a large screwdriver behind the clutch assembly and tapped on the nut with an air chisle. bout 5 taps and it spun right off. Dont waste your $4 buying fancy tools you'll never use again!
I'm skilled like that.
