So after removing my sway bar and seeing how much force it freed up on the torsion bars, I figured it was safe for me to raise my truck up some more. Before I messed with the sway bar, the front was sitting 1.5 inches lower than the back and the bump stops were touching (but not smashed) and the torsion bar was cranked so tight it was on the verge of bowing. So I started by lowering the truck to get the bump stops out, and I cut off the round tip (about 1/3 of the rubber). I put them back in and raised the torsion bars until the front was sitting a 1/2 inch lower than the back... where I want it. Then I went to the alignment shop, and here is the alignment spec printout...
The only thing to ask after that is WTF?!?! I raise the truck up 1 inch, and look at the "before" value for camber... its within spec. Also, how did toe get off that far (I had it aligned 6 months ago). And then that leaves caster... the guy told me that was as close as he could get it and that it's maxxed out. Do any of ya'll with cranked torsion bars have them up so high that the caster cannot be corrected? I realise the caster being off a little bit won't kill the tires, but how can one side be off and one side be within spec? Unless it I didn't get my frame as straight as I thought I did.
Anyway, I understand the aspects of wheel alignment, but this situation doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Does it look and sound believeable to ya'll?

For me the camber on one wheel was dead good. The other was slightly off and adjusted all the way. I thought of opening the adjustment hole some more to get that little bit of adjustment that I needed. That is why I went with firestone lifetime aliment.

So it sounds like we're in the same situation then. I guess its safe to say I have my torsion bars cranked as high as you do Crazy! Now I just need 33s :P
You said you thought of opening the hole... did you actually go through with it?

Well .1 is not bad at all! Caster won't really wear out the tires either, which is why I'm not too worried about that. But I still don't get how I could lift it 1 inch without the camber being thrown off.
