Default Blinker Gremlin

OK I found out I have a 93 not 94 Dakota 4X4 with the 5.2L. When I picked it up it had the infamous "splice rot" to keep it from starting. I repaired that and did a tune up and it runs like a dream now. But when I was underneath the back end I found that the POs dog had chewed the wiring harness taking about 3 foot of it into the back yard in his deposits there. I found a harness at a local junk yard. With the harness distroyed the front blinkers would light up but not flash with the turn signal switch. After I spliced the used harness in using the diagrams and color codes and replacing both of the flasher relays my blinkers do not come on at all. Hazards work OK on front and back but no turn signals on either.
My self I would go and shoot a dog at this point, if I didn't like dogs. Found they had also bit through a rubber break line and the rubber part of the fuel line near the filter (believe me that doesn't help mileage).
Incidently clipped to the left rear break line is another cable/hose. What is this in case I have to replace it also.
Thanks everyone for your help.

The other hose is a breather/vent tube for your axle. To replace the whole hose would cost 4 bucks or less.

Sounds like you have a wire crossed or a bad connection somewhere. Its clear that they function, but they arent getting the signal to turn on. I would tripple check all the wiring.

OK still working on the blinkers. None of the blinkers come on as blinkers. The hazards do come on. I've checked the fuses and the splices and replaced the flashers. I'm waiting to get a security torque driver to remove the multifunction switch. Any other ideas?

You may have blown out the turn signal controller on the fuse box. Switch the turn signal and hazard controllers and see if the turn signals work.

Go to wally fart and buy the black and decker multi bit set they have thats in a white rubber enclosure. It should have around 24 heads in it. Its like 6 bucks. Then youve got bits for everything, without having 25 screwdrivers laying around.

I would agree with 318 at this point. Either that or I would say your multiswitch is shot.

$80?!?! You can order a multiswitch from RockAuto.com for a lot less than that!

Or you could talk to your old buddy skyshark and get one for 20 bucks shipped.
