Default What will it cost to replace brake lines on '94 SLT?

My mechanics wouldn't give me even a guess on the cost to replace front and back brake lines on a 2x4 SLt. What's the worse case and who would you recommend north of Peoria IL? Thanks.

I guess it depends on what your asking. Do you mean the front and rear hoses, cause those can run anywhere from $70 - $95 (for all three) depending on quality and manufacturer. You've got the front left and right to the calipers and in the rear the only one is kinda in the center of the differential feeding the steel lines going to the wheel cylinders. If you're talking the hard steel lines, that can get really pricey because I believe they charge that by the foot and per bend and fittings. You might be better off finding a donor truck in the salvage yard and take what you need or, just replacing what you need on your own. Bending can get a little tricky but you'll get the hang of it pretty quick.

I believe it is the metal lines that need bending. They aren't leaking but very rusty.
