Default Cheap Power Adders 5.2l Magnum

Im trying to add some more power to my 96 Dakota 5.2L 5 speed for not allot of money. Im thinking about the Fastman 50mm throttle body, Summit Racing Headers, Kegger Mod for the Intake manifold, Harland Sharp 1.7 Ratio Roller Rockers and 14"x3" Open Air Filter. Any other Cheap Add-ons that I forgot please let me know... Ive already got true dual Flowmaster dual exhaust, underdrive pulleys, and 4.10 gears

Looks like you got a good list already. To along with all that how about a good clutch kit a Mopar Performance computer. Or even better yet a 5.9 swap.

Wow, fastman TB, headers, and HS rockers are what you consider to be cheap add ons?????

One good thing you can do is put on an electric fan. It can free up anywhere from 5-15 horsepower.

take the money you want to spend on those mods, and buy a supercharger. Boost is the best bang for your buck horsepower.

save your pennies, and buy a blower. Everything you listed might gain you 20-30hp.

Depending on your budget, you may want to do the M1 2bbl and 52mm TB or headers. When it comes to making more power, you get what you pay for. Don't bother trying to find a blower until you've opened up the intake and exhaust side more. A blower also makes that 5spd tranny a ticking time bomb. Stick with easy stuff you can just bolt on that won't affect driveability too much, then go big with blowers and N2O when you have the money to fix the stuff you're going to break.

Putting a blower on an engine that still has factory PCM, TB, Intake, and exhaust manifolds will result in more problems than power. You can't just slap on a blower and turn the key and expect big power on a magnum.

Yep that is a good point. It will be a daily driver. I don't won't it to be to radical but it sure would be bad a$$.... One reason for the power adders, my friend and I are competing. He's got a Ram Hemi and My Dakota V8. Im trying to stay ahead.
