'90 Dakota Sport fog lights
Sup guys!
I have a 90 Dakota and the fog lights are missing in my bumper. I still have all the wiring working, I just need fogs.
Now, I can get brand new 91-96 for almost nothing (well... anyway :P).
My question : will 91 and up fog fit in my 90 bumper? I don't have any picture to compare with actual bumper, so damn.
Thanks if anybody can help me,
Charlo.

Not all trucks came with fog lights. Are you sure yours came stock? Do you have a stock interior switch?
I'm sure the fog light will be close. The bumpers were different in between 90-down and 91-up. But Fog light should be a general size. You can buy universal ones at most auto part stores and even Walmart.

The fog lights on the sport were not in the bumper anyway. They were in the plastic valance underneath (top pic 1990). They didn't start to be in the "bumper" until 2nd gen. (bottom pic 1997) That being said, you should be able to get a set of rectangular fogs, like Crazy said, at any auto parts store. Just measure the opening to minimize customization.

My main concern is, I don't want to fit sealed beams in there, I want those that uses the original wiring. I know I can fit sealed beams pretty easily, but I'd like to keep original wiring intact if possible.

I don't know if only the Fogs or the Brush Guard or the Bed Bar only came on the Sports, but differently not all Sports came with it very few did. The Sport package is the painted Grill and Bumpers. My guess 95% Sports were only painted Bumpers and Grills. If you do a Google search not all will have the Bed Bar and Grill guard.

The 1990 Factory fog lights were made by Bosch.
Chrysler Part# 4504 803
Bosch Part# 0 305 406 101
They were made for the aftermarket as 'Bosch Pilot 150'
The Bosch Pilot 150 had 2 different housings.
One housing had the typical bracket mounted on the top, with a bolt that goes vertically into a bumper etc.
The second housing (WHICH IS USED ON THE EARLY DAKOTA) is designed for tight clearance mounting, and has a pivot bolt out the back of the housing, which attaches to an 'L' shaped bracket that bends over the top.
The photo below shows the Dakota type housing on the LEFT.
At the time of this posting:
1) Summit Racing lists the exact Bosch part# 0 305 406 101 as: Summit Part# BCH-0305406101
2) WorldPac dealers, sell a similar unit (Bosch# 0 305 402 102) under part# W0133-1620886.
I bought a pair of them from Auto Parts Warehouse. They were stock items.
The only difference I can see is that the side lens "holders" are black, not clear like the factory dodge unit.
(see sample photo below, with factory lens cover for reference)
Lens cover fits perfectly, the photo has perspective distortion
The same units were used for many high end european cars in the 80's
Note: the new aftermarket units' mounting bracket is slightly shorter on the top, compared to the Dodge OEM bracket.
(See photo below)
You can either; reuse your old bracket, extend the new one, or make your own.
Here's the info from the 2007/2008 Bosch Catalog I have:
------------------
Bosch Pilot 150 - Fog Light

Yellow: 0 305 406 102
**Accessories and spare parts**
Protective cap: 1 300 591 096
Guard: 1 305 540 165
Light unit for fog lamp
clear: 1 305 354 933
yellow: 1 305 354 934
Light unit for driving lamp
clear: 1 305 354 935
yellow: 1 305 354 936
Holder for light unit
clear: 1 301 091 002
Fastening screw: 2 918 140 027
Bulb
H3 12V/55W: 1 987 302 031
H3 24V/70W: 1 987 302 431
-------------------
A driving light version was also made.
Clear: 0 306 407 101
----------
"Light unit" would, I assume be the lens.
The driving light and fog light "lens Unit", are, as far as I understand, interchangable.
So you could switch existing lights from fog to driving light, by simply swapping lenses
----
Hope this helps.
