Default Shifter linkage removal

I'm not quite sure on how to remove the shifter linkage (fire wall down. Doing a body lift) I expected a bolt and nut but I was greeted with some sort of pin I guess I will call it. I guess I should mention it is a 318 auto. Any tips to removing this section so I can weld in my extension?

Just pop off the adjuster mount, use grease to pop it back in. Here is my old one when I had the shifter rod welded up for the body lift. I did a body lift delete now with the SAS.

So every thing should just pull out? It was really crappy out side when I went to take a look so I couldn't really investigate. I just tried pushing/ pulling the top of it out and it didn't want to budge
