95 Dakota 3.9 4x4 Cranks but no start. Gets fuel and spark
Hey everyone, new to the forum here.
My 95 Dakota 3.9 wont start. Here is where Im at so Far:
Im getting fuel. I can hear my pump prime and also the Schrader Valve on the fuel rail repressuirzes every time I crank the turn the key.
Edit: Fuel pump pressure is at ~38 resting and jumping around 45 when i try to start it.
I took off one of my spark plug wires and used a jumper wire to ground it to the valve cover. I am getting spark there. I did not check the other 5 and dont have a helper to crank the car while i check right now but will soon.
My battery reads 12.62V so that seems all set.
Im getting spark so it cant be my CPS. Also, Im getting fuel so I dont think its the classic relay box corroded wires problem.
Any ideas?

A bad starter can draw too many amps while cranking so there's not enough juice to power the ignition system properly, but if you say you're getting spark this probably isn't an issue.
Plugged fuel filter? Contaminated/old fuel?
Timing chain could be broken or loose causing the engine to be out of time.
Check your compression?
