my first dakota so i dont know anything about them
i need to remove my front passenger side fender
is there anything i need to know so i dont take 2hour to remove it ?
what do i need to remove to take the fender out ?
thx in advance for your answer
I had to remove the front bumper, the grill, the (for me driver's side) headlight surround, and the cowl cover (under the wiper blades) to get to all the bolts. That, and inside the fender well.
There's actually a good diagram in the Factory Service Manual for the 1988 I have.
It's pretty self explanatory, just keep removing stuff until it comes off. RalphP has it right; the only other bolt that's easy to miss is the one that bolts to the pinch weld on the bottom of the front corner of the cab. Actually it might be a stud and a nut if I remember right.
asking since i know that sometimes theres a ?%&* bolt hidden somewhere.. its my 1st pickup only had car before and on a car you pop the hood 4 bolt to remove 2 near the wheel and one under corner light...didnt think i would need to remove the wiper thing or the bumper for a fender
I'd like to know what year and model car - my 1991 Cougar, it's the front bumper cover, the header panel, the inner fender liner, and the bolts only accessible when the door is open. It's a right royal pain on the Cougar compared to my 1988 Dakota.
