Unhappy Sugar in tank, need some advice

I have sugar in the gas tank of my 94 dakota. I did not start or turn the key. I am hoping to drop the tank and get the sugar removed on my own. I was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them, any tips or advice would be great. Also any links to other archives or videos that could give me an idea of where to start, Thanks!

You must have one seriously angry enemy since he got both your intrepid and your Dakota. Anyway, same advise as I gave for the intrepid in this thread.

I feel for ya man I've had a seriously expensive vandalism problem before. You can find many vids on YT about removing the bed or lifting it to access the tank. You will need to drain it before dropping it to clean it out.

Did the police charge her? If so, let a shop take care of it. Otherwise, if it was mine and had not been started, I would drain the tank, drop it out, and either replace it with another tank or wash it out. And I really have no idea how easly it washes out or if it sticks to the tank. Also dont forget the filler tube.
Good luck

Luckily, my one friend saw her get into her car around the corner and the police were able to arrest her. But it's he said she said so I'm really hoping the states attorney agrees to charge her. She'll have to pay restitution but it'll be months even before her first court date so I can't expect any money any time soon, if ever, since she has terminal cancer and could possibly never pay.

I think Insurance would pay for the repairs or reimburse if she were charged or convicted. It's like a theft you have to have a police report to file an insurance claim. If the cops write it up right.....Edit- You should ask you insurance if they cover it and what proof you need.

The worst it will do is collect at the bottom of the tank and maybe coat the sock filter. I would get it out anyway. Sugar sinks like a rock in gasoline.
