Default How to resolve code P1594?

P1594 -Charging System Voltage Too High Battery voltage sense input above target charging voltage during engine operation.
[/align][/align]Sorry about askin too many questions in the recent days..but my battery guage needle goes all the way up to "18" like it's super charged once in a while when I'm driving down the road but after about minuteor two it goes back down. What causes this and how can I resolve it?[/align]

Ck your battery 1st. maybe the battery notholding a charge. Or maybe the alt is staying at full field. wosre case would be a alt.

Update: 10/07/07[/align]I found what the problem was. My negative terminal batter cable came loose from the battery. After I put it back on all the way and tightened it back up, I did the key on and off, on - off, on option and no codespopped up. [/align]

FYI you might want to keep an eye on your fuse that sits on both the positive and negative terminals that is in the black fuse box next to the battery. Had this same situation happen and 3 days later my bttery was dead and I couldnt figure what the hell happened to it. Found the fuse, dodge only carries the part, 13.95 I think and haven't had a problem since.
