Default 2001 durango no rear heat

Hello Everyone,
Has anyone had problems with the rear heat/ac? The a/c works fine, but I have no heat out of the rear heater core. The heater hoses going to the rear
core are both hot, and the auxiliary coolant pump works as it's supposed to.
I'm wondering if there is a problem with the temperature blend door actuator?
or maybe the door itself? Thanks in advance for any input,
Brian.

Guys:

There is indeed a flapper door in the rear compartment. Since you have determined that both hoses are hot, likely the door is the issue.

IIRC, the door is a PIA to access, but once the interior pieces are out of the way the repair is not too bad.

I think the door itself is becoming hard to find. This issue seems to be popping up more as our Durangos age.

So far so good on my 01 at 76k.

Hi
How do I check the hoses? I just bought an 01 Durango, and no heat in rear. I like the truck, but this is retarded. Why wont it run off the front as well? Any Help would be great.
Thank You, Connor

2 things:

1) this thread is nearly 4 years old, so I doubt those guys are around anymore, you may want to consider making a new thread for this.
2) if you want help you don't need to go around saying things are "retarded", that's offensive to a lot of people, and isn't getting you any further.
