Thanks to everyone for the great information. I appreciate all the work you have put into this forum. I just replaced my TCCM. (bloody knuckles) and no change in my no switch light no 4x4 condition. I am now going to chase electrical shorts. I will post back when I can get her up on a lift.

I had all the symptoms that pointed to a TCCM issue, I tried two different TCCM's from scrap yards and it didn't help.
I also had a mechanic look at it while checking out some other things....the mechanic didn't have the proper Chrysler tool, but he said they ruled out about everything BUT the central timing module, which I guess is the body control module mentioned in the post above because it's in the driver side kick pane. I didn't do anything wtih that info yet though because I heard it needed to be done at the stealership...
Question, does a dealership need to replace the body control module??? I heard it needed to be flashed with a VIN or something....thanks for any feedback.
Mine is a 2003 Dodge Durango 4.7L SXT with non functioning 4x4
