I was thinkin about your issue on the way home today and I was wondering if you had tried to setting your distributor. This can lead to great loss of fuel economy and could explain your issue.

My gas sipper needs engine work so I have been having to drive the Durango everyday. I have a 60+ mile round trip each day and I still have 1/4 tank left. For a 5.9L I am not disappointed at all with the economy.
