Unhappy 2000 fan clutch tread

normal or reversed?

My 1996 5.9 work van is reversed, and I have read that some newer dodges (>2002?) are normal treads.

Mine is a 2000 5.9. I have tried all the tricks to break it free, including what worked on the Ramvan (except impact), and no luck. off to autozone for the tool in the am.

Lefty Loosy looking at the fan from the bumper, righty tighty from same bumper looking in.

Need to keep the fan from turning, special spanning tool available, we improvised. One solid whack with a hammer on the wrench and it was loose.

Other Durangos are reverse threads... not so on your 2000 5.9
