well i did check after what i have read from tbasse01.
and i was low on the antifreeze.but didn't have a chance to run it a bit.but i will tomorrow and i'll let you guys know.thanks.

No one said he got it. Just that he was indeed low on coolant. Just like 75% of all D owners.

You can not hear low coolant from the cab.

Talking follow up!!

ok first off soory it took awhile for me to reply but after filling the antifreeze and warming it up.then topping it off with the antifreeze.the water sound has gone away.

thanks for all the info and help

You still can't hear a low coolant level from inside the cab with the D running.

I had this same problem. Found I had low coolant....topped it off and the running water sound went away. Then I found the water pump leaking...fixed that...then i say the T-stat housing leaking....replaced that...i still smell coolant somewhere.
