How do I install new speakers??

Hey everyone, I recently bought new speakers for my 2001 Durango, stocks are blown, and Im having trouble installing them. The stock speakers have a bracket of some sort which may come off but I m not sure, and the new speakers go to deep into the door.Also the stock speakers have a socket the wires plug into but the new speakers dont. Any info that could help me install the new speakers would be great. Thanks.
