Default 2003 durango 4.7l

so i just bought my 2003 durango 4.7l a month ago for 600$ and its in amazing shape for the year and km's on it as it has 347300ish km's and all in all i spend 2600 into getting it on the road but that cost includes everything from the price i bought it to parts and even all the inspections and insurance. the only issues it has is the rear wiper moter blew and the one passenger window motor blew as well one of the body mounts is rotten off of the cab but i will be restoring my durango as i find it to be the altimate vehicle.

Default 1998 Durango SLT PLUS

I bought my 1998 Durango SLT Plus 5.2L with 113000 miles on it about a week or so ago. Has a nice straight body but does have a little bit of rust on the lift gate. Other than a slight hesitation and needing a oil change its perfect. Better gas mileage than i expected as well. Paid 3000 for it.

My '98 SLT had 174K miles, kinda rough body-wise, new tires (Wrangler Radial junk, which I replaced shortly after buying), some minor electrical issues & the standard "ABS/brake" light problems - paid $1600, which I thought was a pretty fair price.

Bought my 2002 Durango SXT for $2000. 181k miles. Has a small area on rocker panel that needs body work, lower corner of a passenger door that needs body work (can't see it when the doors are closed), has a little rust on the lip at the bottom of the hatch. Brakes are soft because the rears aren't properly "set." Had power window problem that I repaired. The engine runs great, but I'm guessing that it might need new rockers, or something. Has a problem with signals getting sent from CTM, and TCCM. 4x4 does not work, however I manually tested the shift motor and it works, but seems slow. I bought a replacement and am waiting to install it.

It needs piece parts, here and there if I want to make it perfect. Around where I live, if it had less than 150k on the odometer, it would have cost me $3000 as it is right now. It needs just enough work in the right areas, in addition to the mileage, to shy most people away. So, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I plan to drive my Durango to 300k.

No car payment, cheap insurance, cheap plates...the savings add up fast on that front in Indiana.

Daughter got a 2000 SLT for $2000 3 weeks ago body and interior and engine compartment in really good shape. Seemed to run really good good oil pressure. Week after she bought it the knocking started. Now trying to decide if putting a new longblock in it is worth it has 160,000 mile $1300 for longblock and $750 for shop to install plus cost of new waterpump, hoses, tuneup items, oil sending unit so about $2500 everything else works but with her luck transmission will be next. Think this is worth the trouble
