Default how to paint rims black?

So basically, as the title states, I want to paint my stock, silverish, non-chrome, rims. I'm vaguely familiar with what to do, I know you have to sand, prime, paint, and clear coat, but has anyone had experience doing such a thing? What products you used? How you did them? Basically, I would appreciate for a run down of every step on how to pretty much get my rims to black. All replies are greatly appreciated guys!

A lot of guys here are using plati-dip. Is like a paint and the only prep you need is wash and dry the part you are painting and do it!!

Check this thread out! Good Luck!!!

I used high temp engine paint on mine flat black. Just clean them up with a good degreaser take a fine grade sand paper and scuff them up wash them off again and dry and paint simple as that!

Actually, I'm going to do the plasti-dip! You can pick it up at any hardware store, no bad reviews what so ever, all they say for you to do it basically to keep care of it, unless you get curb rash or actually power wash it from 3 inches away, it WON'T peel! Best part of it, if you want it removed, you can literally just peel it off, though really hard, you can remove it! Not only can you paint your rims, but you can paint anything you want, they even have different colors, I saw pictures of people paiting their rims either red or white and they came out sick! Look at this Jetta! And you don't even have to clear coat it! It comes out already semi-gloss looking, kind of like gunmetal! Best part of this is that there's no sanding involved, all you have to do is wash your rims really really well, dry them, spray with moderate coats, let dry and settle and done!
