UPDATE:

Made my complaints known to the shop, they told me to swing on over and they'd have a look, turns out... The fluid was a little low. They topped me off with 1.5-2L of fluid and the darn thing is working perfectly again.

Side note: the $300 included the new serpetine belt.

Thanks for all the responses... I remember how awesome it used to be surfing these forums every day. But I was a little butt-hurt over the loss of my previous truck and strayed away for a few years.

Well stick around it's always nice to have more people who are here to stay and help out. It's also nice to know there's people out there that appreciate the help. You're welcome and hopefully we hear from you again, just not with another transmission problem! LOL

The only company that is making an ATF+4 that is concitered Fully Synthetic is Valvoline that I know of. It isn't that bad of a fuid as it is a hydro-crack, but at least they are using a "Semi-Synthetic" oil base which is better than conventional hands down. In fact that's what I use until I find a better ATF+4.
