Default Durango VS Jetta

so this morning on my way to church i had a lady pull out from her driveway into the oncomming traffic lane like she was going to merge after i passed. no she decided to swerve in front of me. so i clipped her going 40 mph, with all 4 tires locked up... bounced off her, swerved a bit before stopping on the side of the road.

she was driving a jetta... now the dammage to her car is as follows... crumpled passenger fender and door, missing headlight and foglight and half her grill... i sheared off the outside of her rim and her tire popped off.

my dammages include slight dammage to the drivers fender, paint dammage to the door, need a new bumper and headlight assembly. the worst part was she bent my wheel a good inch or so... needs an alignment for sure, ball joints are gonners... to go straight my steering wheel is upside down... heres pics of my rig...

The officer wasn't even sure i hit her by looking at my car to begin with...

glad to hear that you are ok,

also have them check the tie rods when they are working on the repairs (whose fault did the officer list it as on the report??)

+3, glad you are ok. Damn Jettas and old ladies.

If they want to replace the bumper cover, replace with a Stillen instead of a stocker.

im hoping not... from what i can tell with the tire being like it is... the upper and lower ball joints are messed up... part of the bracket attached to the ball joints is bent... not sure what its called... umm needs an alignment now and not sure why but my steering wheel is upsidedown when going straight... ooo and a busted shock...

last year the wife and i bought a 1994 explorer at the auction for $500 bucks, a few weeks later someone ran into it head on while it was parked on the street in front of my house. The insurance company totaled if and gave me a check for $5000! .... we replaced it with the D in January.. moral of the story? sometimes things just happen for the better
