So the other day i was driving and the CEL came on.... when i got home i pulled out the code reader and i got code P1899...

so my question is, where is the p/n switch located and what is the quickest way to fix the issue? need to get it fix fast because im due for emmisions testing now.

 

P1899 P/N Switch Stuck in Park or in Gear

On yours it is called the Park Neutral Safety switch, it is located near the top on the drivers side just above the linkage going into the T-case. You need to replace the switch. Replace the switch.

 

I'll pick one up tommorow, and replace it.... any idea what size wrench it takes?

 

Takes a 1 inch deep socket. You need to lower a pan bolt to get the socket on it.
