Lund Hood Scoops
My uncle used to have a 2002 Dodge Durango but was in accident with other vehicle so it is totaled. He just bought them black lund hood scoops and don't want to throw them away so he want to give it to me for my Durango. It is for free from him so I might just go ahead and put it on. How hard is it to put it on the hood?

Pretty simple, just paint them to match your truck color and then they apply with 3M automotive tape.

Position them on your hood, then outline them with masking tape. Then you will know where they go again when you pull them up to peel the protective later from the sticky tape.
This assumes that these have not been installed previously.
If they have been installed, it can still work to position them on the hood and guide you for after you put the two-sided tape on them before you install them.
Does this make sense? It's late and I may be a little loopy as my fingers smell of latex....... Because of filling 250+ Water balloons for an epic "WBF" tomorrow :-)

most napa auto parts can match your paint better to paint fisrt as it will cost more to paint once installed. I hope he can wait and take pictures of it later to be satisfied. You will save alot of cash to paint first. otherwise paint it black it may look ok with contrast to your current color. if need it done fast.

Yes you can it is just harder to paint it on the hood compared to before installing. You can mask off the area around it and anything your overspray may hit. I have done it that way with other cars, but next time I will paint first reason being you can move it and more evenly coat it. keep us posted to what you do. also dont forget a can of clear coat once you have a good coat of paint you can apply clear to give it great finish.
