Default Engine trouble

I just got done with a tune up on my '03 Durango by changing out the plugs, oil, air and oil filters, and topping off my coolant. When I started it up for te first time it idled kinda rough when cold, no engine light. So at first I'm thinking throttle body is dirty. I cleaned it all up and made it like new. Now it idles fine but now when I drive it down the road I can't get the engine to climb about 3000 RPMs. Engine light can on When this issue started. Any ideas? No one around my area will check my codes without spending $100 on a dignostic. Won't just read the code so I can fix it.

There's info in the diy section about reading codes in the odometer window by flipping the key a few times. Most auto parts stores will read codes for free too.

You didn't by any chance remove remove more than 1 plug wire at a time did you? If so double check your firing order. If I had a dime for every time I have seen someone mix up a couple plug wires ....

Unless he has the 4.7 which has no plug wires. Knowing which motor would be helpful.

I used autolites. I heard it could be a camshaft position transmitter. Is that possible? It runs great under 3000 RPMs

Copper core ones? These engines don't like those fancy platinum, iridium, etc plugs, just plain old copper ones.

As far as the camshaft sensor goes, I couldn't tell you. The 4.7 is a mystery to me.

Did you make sure they were gapped properly? I just seems weird that you'd have problems like this after changing the plugs without them having something to do with it.

It would definitely help to get those codes read. If you flip the key from off to on (not start) 3 times, leaving it on the 3rd time, it should display the codes in the odometer window.
