Need help with Infinity speakers
I'm ready to install Infinity 6032cf speakers in my 03 Durango. I have one concern before I do. The new speakers come with a spacer that will allow the four hole pattern speaker to mount to the three hole factory spacer. The concern I have is that the speaker is supposed to be held to the new spacer with peel and stick foam. I'm having a hard time believing that the foam is sufficient to hold the speaker to the new ring. I thought perhaps I could screw the speaker through the new spacer and into the factory spacer, but no mounting screws are supplied, and I would have to drill holes into the factory spacer. Can anyone tell me how they got around this problem?

Did you have the Infinity system in your 03? I have an 02 and was thinking of replacing the blown speakers I have. I read this comment from an Amazon buyer and he said he had to do some mods. Maybe he didn't rotate the speaker like you did?

Thanks for the tips everybody. I purchased 2 pairs of these on Crutchfield, http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2064CS6...r-40CS654.html and they sound pretty damn good. The install wasn't 100% straight forward, one of the 3 tips of the plastic bracket was too long for the OEM spacer, but a simple clip of that piece, everything fit well. The screws that held the speaker to the bracket were a little tough to find the right hole, but it worked out fine. Now I'm rocking with new speakers, that have good lows, and the OEM tweeters are still sounding great. Now do I buy a under-the-seat sub? Or maybe a sub that fits in the rear molding?

I just fit the new speakers into the old plastic spacers and they fit just fine, the speakers were the right size and everything, but I also have the infinity system in mine. I only replaced the large speakers, the tweeters I left alone, but they also don't seem to be falling apart, the cone surrounds on he big ones were coming apart after 12 years (I replaced them a couple years back).
