Default 4x4 SXT 4.7, 3.55 - Most economic exhaust suggestions need.

Hello all,
My Girlfriends 2003 Durango is in need of an exhaust system. Cash is tight. P0420 thrown and replaced O2 sensors months ago hoping to resolve.
Needing cat and everything that follows. Tailpipe rusted off, muffler rusted and coat hanger secured, boggs down at times to almost scary. Suggestions? She's all for taking it to an exhaust shop. I'd like to think I'm more that capable of installing. Willing on the other hand, meh.

If you are looking for economy, head out to the junkyard and take one off from the cat back.

So here's where Im at now. Been pricing today and am leaning towards a Walker system. After checking Amazon, Ebay, AutoZone, AdvanceAuto and O'Reillys.

Going off this Walker diagram...

Catalytic - 130.99

Walker SoundFX - 72.99
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/w...918/10994264-P

Tailpipe - 69.99
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/w...208/26010208-P

Intermediate Pipe - 29.99

Insulator - 7.09 (x5) - 35.45
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/w...5460/5601657-P

Total being $332.41 before tax.
After internet discount codes should be around $232.69 plus tax, free shipping.

So now my dilemma is installation. Is this DYI friendly?

If you have the proper tools and the ability to get the vehicle off the ground, it is quite do-able from a DIY standpoint.

I'd suggest you replace the factory Y-pipe while you're at it. If the factory one in yours is anything like the one in my truck was, it's crap! Very restrictive. The replacement from Magnaflow was only about $30, if I recall correctly.
