Default Reverse lights not working / fuel gauge not working

I looked around and found that it could be the neutral/safety switch on the transmission. But that's only if they don't work completely right? Mine works only if i hold it between reverse and neutral. If its in reverse it won't work. Any ideas? Also my fuel gauge only works when the tank is full. It works till about 30km and then dies. Sometimes it reads it when its full and sometimes it doesn't. It was working 2 years ago. I changed the fuel pump assembly because it stopped working and it still doesn't work. I need some help here because I'm thinking it could be the actual cluster itself.

The fuel pump assembly was probably installed incorrectly and is causing the fuel gague sender to not be able to give off the proper reading.

Reverse lights could be a bad backup light switch

Any more info on this. Inside fuse box or under the hood?
