Default clutch to drive plate bolts...

ok went down to the dodge dealership to get the 4 modular clutch to drive plate bolts since the chilton's manual says to never reuse them.... so after them telling me that they no longer stock them i asked for the dimentions of the bolt and the guy wrote down M8 x 1.25 x 17... so i go down to the local ace's today and found me some M8 x 1.25 x 20 was the closest they had in grade 8 bolt. So i get home and try to get it threw the clutch holes and it dont fit. does anyone know what size bolt i really need??? or should i just reuse the bolts and make sure i red locktite them???
