Exclamation Will a 2.4 from a 03 pt fit in a 96 neon?

Will a 2.4 non-turbocharged motor fit in a 96 neon?Will i have to make any modifications and will i have to get a different trans for it or will this one work?Thanks

yes. It will go in just like the SRT one. You do need to some mods to get it to fit (motor mounts, hood mods, and such)

I have a carbon fiber hood would that matter? and what kind of mods would i need to do to the motor mounts? upgrade them?

I honestly don't know about the carbon fiber hood. I know you need the power buldge hood to get the cams to fit.

There is all the information. I just noticed that you have an ATX? if so I do believe you will have to swap that out for a 5-speed from a 1st gen.

as already posted it is the same thing as an srt-4 im also looking into doing this also.

i want to keep a auto because my wife cant drive 5 spd and its kinda her car and it has a nice sounding rod knock just dont know cuz it looks pretty pricey now with having to buy another tranny and everything
