Default 1996 Neon Stop problem

I just bought a 96 Neon 4 cyl. that was laid up for 2 yrs. Replaced the fuel pump and few other things, it started fine. It runs now but quits after driving for about 25 to 30 min. Just goes right out. Lights and all are still on, just engine quits. I just replaced the coil pack yesterday and still have the same problem. It will start right back up after a min or too then dies again shortly after. Any idea's or suggestions for a fix. Could it be the cam shaft sensor or crankshaft position sensor?

Thanks
Shawn

Default

Those two items would be the first things I would check right after I checked all the wiring and connectors to both O2 sensors and the wiring and connectors to the cam and crank sensors.

As the wires age, they get brittle, cooked, and dirty and bang around and after awhile, they make contact on a bad spot with some metal and briefly short out. Also, since it sat for awhile, check all the main grounding straps.

Default fixed problems

It was the crankshaft and cam shaft position sensors that were going intermitting. Changed them both, car runs fine. Thanks
