on my stock guage cluster tempture reading doesn't work if I get a after market one to replace it will my fans still turn on when the car gets hot cuz the wires will no longer be used dew to after market I have the hanes book on the car but doesn't say much about the piticullar thing I want answerd and im sure everyone knows what im talking about lol

 

Is the gauge itself bad, or is it the sensor? I would just fix it, I assume it would be cheaper in the long run also.
