Default first Gen neon instrument panel calibration

I recently installed a white face cluster on my 98 neon rt. The problem is that I had to take the needles off to fit the cluster properly without breaking it. Now every gauge is messed up so is there any way to recalibrate the gauges?

For what it's worth, I had to replace a pointer on my temp gauge which fell off. What I did, and have done in the past, is remove the gauge cluster, remove the cover to the gauge cluster, install in car and putting in only the two top screws to hold it in place, turn on the key, wait a few seconds and then simply install the pointers to where they should be. (obviously do this when engine is cold, the car is not running and fuel tank is filled so that it's makes things easy) This is probably not the correct way to do this, but it's never failed me in the past.)
