Default 98 neon rt motor swap

I have access to an 03 2.0 sohc, basicly the whole car, wiring computers and all but the automatic transmission is bad... I want to put the motor in my rt since I locked up the dohc and want to keep the manual transmission. What kind of mess am I gettin myself into and is everything gonna bolt up fine and will the computers plug and play or will I have to use the whole wiring harness. Thanks a **** ton.

A lot has changed from the 95-99 to the 2000+. You will need to do the same as the SRT swap, except for the fact that you will be using a non SRT motor so no turbo stuff to worry about. There is quite a lot involved and you would need some adapter mounts and such to make it fit. As far as the transmission, I'm not sure if the 95-99 manual transmission will bolt up or not.

Did you swap the engine harness as well?

From my recollection, you can't run a 2003+ engine in a 95-02 neon without swapping the entire harness over or running a standalone EMS. In 2003 Chrysler went the route of the NGC PCM.
