You will not find that part under the hood of your truck. That is for a earlier model year.

The module on your truck is inside the distributor.

Did they happen to drive down the road with the fuel pressure gauge hooked up to see if just prior to it cutting out you lost pressure? You could have one or more of several known issues.

Bad grounds, poor connections, failing dizzy, etc. There was also a TSB from Dodge in those years detailing problems with the rubber fuel hose inside the tank becoming cracked and porous.

and the guy behind the counter gave you that ignition control module for a 90 dodge ram? you need to take that back. it will not work with your truck unless someone has converted it to carb.

now i would guess your problem could possibly be a bad wire or something simple.

Actually the computer is your ignition control module and it is in the drivers side fender by the battery.

I would check for a problem in the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). You may have a dead spot.

It is on the passengers side of the throttle body. It tells the computer what position the butterflies in the throttle body are at. It is nothing but a rheostat that changes resistance as it is turned.

I tell you what, a service manual comes in real handy if you want to test the sensors on our trucks. That's what helped me out. That stuff was all greek to me. Worth every penny.
