ORIGINAL: ramblebeeYou may have to go with a longer adjusting sleeve but that should be all.
Okay, dumb newbie question, where could I find longer adjusting sleeves? I plan to do this swap mothers day weekend and need to gather as much as I can.

OKay, SO I am thinking and preparing for the upcoming drop of my pickup. I have read the axle flip instructions over at ramchargercentral.com and they seem pretty straightforward. I have all the parts here.

I know they measured the angle of the rear diff and the tranny to make sure that you keep the correct pinion angle when doing the flip. But then, it occurred to me, of the new spring perch is 100% parallel to the old one, wouldn't that keep the pinion angle constant? I can't think of a reason it would change. I know that the angels on both would decrease slightly, but they would also decrease equally if my math is correct.

I dropped mine by using drop shackles, and flipping the front spring perch. Moved the axle/springs straight up in the chassis. No problems.

Any bets on how goofy the truck is going to look with drop spindles in the front and flipped axle in the back? Maybe I
ll just get 17's for the back and 15's for the front (Wheels)

I didnt know you could flip that front spring perch. Was it hard to do? How much drop did you get?

It was worth about1 1/2'more over the shackles alone. I cut the rivets off, turned it 180, and welded it back to the frame. Youcan slide it up as close to the bed as your comfortable with. I made my own shackles with new factory bushings pressed in, if I remember right, they're 8' long center to center,
stock was 4'. Mine's not super low, about 3-4' down, but it's a big improvement over stock. The 440/4.88 gear combo I had kinked the **** out of the springs, gotta start over.

The price for some of the parts has gone up like every thing else sorry for the price hike

We are selling a complete kit to lower the 72-93 half ton Dodge truck and Ramcharger 4" front 6" rear $919.99 + shipping

parts are also available individually +shipping

boxed-bucket lower control arms with ball joints $555.00
springs (1.5 coils shorter than stock $85.00
front shocks (they will not bottom out) $22.00ea.
rear shocks (they will not bottom out) $45.00ea.
shock plates-mounts $68.00ea
spring perches (must be welded to the rear housing) $25.00
u-bolts all 4 $25.00
stock length springs also available for a 2" drop front $75.00
installation at our shop $450.00

the rear is a flip. It puts the rear on top of the leaf spring. No cutting required to the frame in the rear.

In the front we use a bucket style lower control arm and shorter springs.
The bump stops must be shortened or removed in the front which is the only cutting you need to do.

I've read most of this thread and the one on www.ramchargercentral.com, so please forgive me if I am asking something again.

I've been researching the 4"/6" drop for my truck for a while now. That $919 kit is awful pricey, but where else are you going to find a kit for these trucks?&nbsp\\; Here is what I've found may be the best bet:
1. Flip the rear.
2. Use stock length rear shocks.
3. Lower the front with 1992-1996 Dakota 2" lowering spindles and 1994-2001 Ram lowering springs.
4. Use 99-01 Chevy Silverado 4" lowering shocks up front

Do I need to buy longer tie rod ends?&nbsp\\; Can I cut 1" out of a pair of 1994-2001 Ram 2" lowering springs to get a desired 4" total drop in front?

Thanks.
