360 Magnum timing gear question.
I just bought a ’93 W250 with 95,000 miles on it. That is enough miles I would want to change the timing set if it has the same old chain and plastic gear that was used on V8 engines for so long.
The mechanic/salesman who sold the truck to me said he did not think these engines had a plastic gear. Does anyone have knowledge about this?
I have had some bad experience with plastic gears and I don’t want to take any chances.
