87 d150 rear wheels locked up

Default 87 d150 rear wheels locked up

its been sitting for about a year n i put a new tranny in and everything hooked up drive shaft. could it be the rear drums or the rear end im sure someones had this problem before maybe the ebrake cables frozen

one of the brakes is probably seized up. did you just put it in drive and try to move it or did you try reverse also. reverse should nock the rear brakes loose if they are the problem.

i tried reverse didnt work both tires do roll back in reverse cuz we dragged it and then dragged it foward and only one wheel unlocked..

how much gas where you giving it? when you shift into reverse or drive does the sound of the engine change? i would jack the truck up and take the drums off the back and bang all the crap out and take a look at the brakes.

a good amount of gas theres no exaust on it lol its a 2bbl 727 transmission slant 6 btw i posted some slant 6 headers in the classifieds. ya the sounds changes like its in gear the tranny did spin with the drive shaft off

did you check the transmition fluid level? that could cause it to not move. check it while it is idling in neutral.

when its running and you put it into gear the trans fluid level drops. that is why you are suppose to check it while it is idling in neutral.

i know that i just filled it up when i put the new filter seals on when i swapped the tranny
