Have you ck the vacuum hose for vacuum at the t-case? Alot of times the vacuum line from the intake manifold and routes around the back of cylinder head on the drivers side will melt from the heat of the exhaust manifold.

the vacuum lines are fine, the old tcase i had in it worked perfectly until i hit a curb and cracked it and all the fliud leaked out which is why i put a new one in, i just cannot figure out why the 4wd indicater will not go off, all positions work great except the hubs not disengaging. There are 4 vacuum lines that connect to the tcase. 2 go to like a sphere thing i dont know what it does. and the other 2 go to the front axle, and it worked fine with the old one, i tried making sure there was no dirt in the vacuum line connecter at the tcase and it didnt make a difference, im just lost with the whole thing.

The vacuum switch on the T-case just unscrews. It is a standard bolt thread that is sealed with an 0-ring. The round thing is a vacuum accumulator that smooths out the available vacuum. Without it you would loose vacuum when you accelerate and therefore loose the locking of the front axles when you most need it.

The switch would be where I would look first. If any dirt gets in that switch it can cause this problem and since the connector has been off that would be my guess.
