1980 Dodge w150 questions

Looks like the only stock 4 bbl carbs are TQs and QuadraJets.
Dunno what CFM Dodge used for the 318 on the TQ.

The thermoquads and quadrajets were capable of more flow than the 318 or 360 needed but with the vacuum controlled secondaries adjusted properly were very good carbs.

I'm thinking the truck TQs were like 800 cfm units.

Got one on the 76. If I could get rid of the off idle bog it has it would be running great. threadjack aside....

How hard would it be to wire up the eletric choke on the qt? Mines currently a manual choke. I'm decent at wiring. But this trucks wiring is already a mess from the previous owner. Half the gauges are not working. All I have is the speedometer and an aftermarket oil pressure gauge

If I'm not mistaken there was three sizes of Thermoquads. 750, 850 and one for competition rated at either 900 or 1000 CFM.
The 750 had smaller primarys than the 850.

Yep, that's right. The competition one was 1000cfm from what I've read.

Would you happen to know where the part numbers are located and how to decipher them?

For efans, could I do a single 16" 3000cfm fan with a thermostat activation to turn on at 180*F, or dual 12" 1200 cfm each. one constant on and the other with a thermostat. Longest trips are when I go to town which is 12 miles away. Work is only 3 miles away

you may want to call up your local junk yard and price out the rad fan assembly out of a 96-00 Dodge caravan, Plymouth voyager or Chrysler town and country. they have a dual electric rad fan assemble which take pretty much nothing to bolt to a dodge rad in place of a stock fan shroud. they also pull a lot of air while not drawing too many amp and can be had fairly cheap. i think most junkyards usually ask about $40 or less.

Junk yards are rather scarce around me. Pretty much have to search online for what I need. The Plymouth Efans are about 75. Can get the dual 12" fans for 60 and they come with the theromstat relay
