1987 d100 cuts out runs bad NEED HELP
bought a 1987 d100 back in july 318 2bl 4speed OD a833 manual trans never runs vary good cuts out and has flat spot from just off idle to almost wide open. that being said it has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump, filter, carb rebuilt timing set and carb adjusted it idles great pulls 17in of vacuum at 700rpm idle and this thing just runs bad cant get it worked out on the up side i have put 2000 miles on it and gets 16-18 mpg please help im going insane!!!!

Did you unplug the temperature sensor next the thermostat housing that has two wires when setting the timing?

any ideas yet ???? did not see a two wire sensor just a one wire that goes to the temp gauge

I had a similar issue. It was my rubber fuel lines. they looked fine from the outside, but the insides had collapsed, and was restricting the fuel flow. idled great, but ran like crap driving.
