Price Shock
Just bought a front spindle (steering knuckle) and a dust shield for my 1990 D-150 and it cost $137.00 at a pick and pull. I thought that was a bit high until I looked on line for a new one...almost $500.00.
The spindle on the drivers side looks like it had been hammered repeatedly with a ball peen hammer and I couldnt get the bearings to tighten up so I had to have a new one but I was a little surprised at the prices.
I have three D-150s that all run and are in good shape but I am going to use this experience to try and convince the wife I need a parts truck; just one that has no hope of ever running again because the last parts truck I bought is now my daily driver and is in fact the truck needing the steering knuckle!
