I need advice about my truck please. I have a 1988 d 100 with a 3.9 manual 4 speed w OD. Got it about 1.5 yrs ago and it made a noise in gear or N (clutch out) except 4th. Reverse and 1st is hard to go in. Forth gear came out and was still driving it and then R came out. When got home i tried R and nothing but made a very loud noise and i parked it. I have looked for other trucks but cant find what i want (4x4-1st gen) Should i get it fixed $800.00 - $1200.00 don't know if that is clutch or not. Or should i find and get another truck or car(mopar). Spending will be $2000.00 or less if can. My truck needs 2 tires front brakes and rotors air filter and tune up and was thinking of doing that $50.00 paint job. I found a 85 d100 slant 6 with a new clutch and tires runs great and very dependable. Also found a Plymouth Horizon $1395.00-I like those.thanks and sorry if long

 

Might wana get the horizon and fix the truck and use it as a backup
