I will be repainting my truck in the next few months, and I think want to go without the chrome trim that runs the length of the truck, on the lower portion of the body. The trim is held in place by plastic keepers that clip onto the steel studs that come off of the body. Are those studs rivets? If I grind them off, will there be a hole I need to weld shut? they should just be suds that stick out, if you grind them off there shouldn't be a hole
