Default 92 ram 150 blower won't come off of vent

I have a 1992 ram 150. Recently my heater blower got stuck on vent and will not change to floor or defrost. Also my cruise quit at the same time. Any ideas?

I thought they were both vacuum controlled. What's the best way to track the leak? I thought I was hearing one, but can't pinpoint where.
Thanks

check for brittle lines under the hood that may have cracked or split
