Default 87 w150 4wd problem

Four wheel drive engages shifter is fine shaft locks and spins but front wheels won't turn It has automatic locking hubs and they aren't locking I guess also the four wheel drive light won't come on

Check the vacuum lines for leaks, or to make sure they haven't come off. Without vacuum the motor wont be able to shift the collar. Often the problem lies in the vacuum motor, rust can cause pin holes, or internals can fail. The 4wd light switch is operated by the vacuum motor shaft moving in and out. So if the light stopped working, I would guess that the issue lies in the motor or vacuum leak.
