Default Ignition coil specs

And one have the ignition coil specs for a 360 la throttle body motor? In attempting to test my coil but don't have proper equipment to test in the truck so I have to do a bench test. With out an owners manual my data will be pointless. I've tried looking it up but so far no luck. Any help is good help. Thanks in advance

well since you're gonna do a bench test set your volt meter to ohms, touch the positive terminal to positive lead and negative to negative, if its between 1-3 ohms its probably good. thats for primary windings. to test secondary windings: negative to negative, and put positive lead into coil wire hole and it should be between 6k and 30k ohms. that's just a general spec in my tune up book for college... I don't have my service manual on me that's locked in my tool box in the shop. ill look for exact specs tomorrow morning and get back to you but if your itchin to get some answers RIGHT NOW then that's a general spec for ignition coils

Too funny dancing around threads with me thanks you've been a bunch of help! I'll go check right now. I was kinda figuring I didn't need to take it out but thanks for the assurance.

Well I decided to go out again and check. Got it! 1.2 prime with 0.4 draw on multi
84800 secondary

Edit. My secondary seems high I got 4.24 on 20k my math should be good I've had a lot going on lately but I doubt I could screw this up

primary resistance should be 1.34-1.55 ohms, and secondary should be 9,400-11,700 ohms for prestolite coils and 9,000-12,200 for Essex coils.... also says to test ballast resistor so while your there that should be 1.2 ohms

either way your secondary is pretty low outta spec so that could be your problem
