Default Warm Engine Restart

My 88 D100 fires right up each morning first thing...no problems. I can drive it 5 miles to work or 80 miles to visit relatives...runs fine. But once the engine is warmed -up and I stop to run into a store or diner...when I come back to start it up again while still warm...it takes a bit longer to crank and when it does crank, the RPM's jump up for maybe 10-15 seconds.

Has anyone experienced this?
