Default thinking of a motor swap

i have a 1979 dodge power wagon 4x4. Im thinking of a motor swap. can you put a 360 or 440 in the truck with out moving the motor mounts.

Yes, but you have to have the correct engine mounts, oil pan (and pick-up), brake booster, brackets, exhaust, transmission, etc, etc...

You would only have to swap all that if you go with 440. The 360 should drop right in

when i put a 360 in a 1982 250 HD where a 318 was. it looked like the frame had holes for a big block mounts. i got a extra long bolt for the one top left bolt at the block. and got a long turn buckle that fit from the bolt to hole in the frame. but had to tap the bolt longer than the length it came. and trapped the block and motor mount with two nuts. and bolt head facing forward. that way the turn buckle can not slid off. no chain. no mods to the block. it looked good. i think the bolt was 7/16. for some reason chrysler likes 7/16 bolts. go figure.
