Headers for '83 150
I was wondering if anyone has come across decently priced long tube headers that fit without modification (on a 360 auto, 2wd 1/2 ton)? I've nearly got my 360 built, and I have a set of used long tube headers for it (Headmans, but I don't know a specific number for them), but I thought I'd ask in case they don't fit. Every set I've looked at on Amazon (I go there mainly because they have reviews), people say they won't fit in the drivers side, that they hit the frame, starter or tranny. I also looked at block huggers, does anyone know if there's a seat of the pants difference between them?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'll keep you posted on the block hugger headers.
I installed them last night and will have the rest of the system installed today.
No interference on the frame or starter.
Here are the headers I bought:

I used the cheap long tube http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...dge/model/w150 ones on my 85 4x4 and they fit fine, i did have to change the starter because mine had a big one and apparently dodge used 2 diffrent starters on our trucks a big one and a little one my bro says the little starter has the same power its just smaller in size

I'm satisfied with them. The nice thing is you can keep the larger starter if you like. These headers leave a ton of room. I believe with the full size headers you are def going to want to use the smaller starter

No problems to report! I had to fill the air injection ports on the heads with
liquid steel to stop exhaust leaks. You should have no problem on your '83.
I STRONGLY recommend Rem Flex gaskets at the head and collectors.
